He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chittagong and joined the business after the sudden death of his father in 1978. Under his leadership Abul Khair Group has become one of the largest industrial conglomerates of Bangladesh. He is one of the pioneers of large-scale industrial complex in Bangladesh. As the Chairman of the Group his focus is in deciding long term strategic and business direction for the Group. He is one of the founder life members of North South University, a reputed private university in Bangladesh.

He is the second son of the Group Founder. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chittagong. He holds the Managing Director position in almost all the companies of the group. He is looking after group administration, development and CSR activities in addition to performing the responsibilities as Managing Director.

He is responsible for driving the Group business operation, including manufacturing, sales and other support functions. He is the President of Chittagong University MBA Association.
